Welcome to Field & Timber Co. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and our carpentry and related services. By using our site or booking our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Services

Field & Timber Co. provides carpentry and related home improvement services, as described on our website, in estimates, and in written agreements.

The exact scope of work, materials, price, and schedule for each project will be set out in your estimate, invoice, or separate written agreement.
Any changes to the scope of work may affect the price and timeline and must be approved by you.

2. Estimates, Booking, and Payment

Estimates

Estimates are based on the information you provide and our initial assessment.
Estimates may change if conditions differ from what was originally described or if you request changes.

Booking

A booking is confirmed only after we accept your request and, when required, receive a deposit.
We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking.

Payments

Payment terms (including deposit amounts, progress payments, and final payment) will be stated in your estimate, invoice, or agreement.
Payments are due on the dates specified. Late payments may result in delays, suspension of work, or additional fees as allowed by law.
If we use third‑party payment processors, their terms and privacy policies will also apply.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may charge a cancellation or rescheduling fee, especially for short‑notice changes, as described in your estimate or agreement.
We may reschedule or cancel work due to weather, safety concerns, illness, supply issues, or other reasons beyond our control. In such cases, we will work with you to find a new date.

4. Access to Your Property

To complete our work safely and on time, you agree to:

Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
Ensure utilities (such as electricity) are available if needed for the work.
Keep pets and children away from the work area for their safety and ours.

If we cannot safely access the work area, we may reschedule or charge additional fees.

5. Materials, Changes, and Approvals

We will use materials that meet the standards described in your estimate or agreement.
If specific brands or materials are requested, they must be clearly stated and agreed upon in writing.
Any changes you request after work begins (change orders) may result in additional costs and time. We will discuss and confirm these changes with you before proceeding.

6. Warranties and Limitations

We aim to provide high‑quality workmanship.

Any warranty on our work will be described in your estimate, invoice, or separate written warranty document.
Normal wear and tear, misuse, lack of maintenance, or changes made by others after our work is completed are not covered.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
Damage caused by pre‑existing conditions in your home
Hidden issues we could not reasonably see before starting work
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as loss of use or loss of value)

Some states or countries do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

7. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information about your property and project.
Obtain any necessary permissions from landlords, homeowners’ associations, or other third parties.
Review and approve estimates, designs, and materials before work begins.
Pay invoices on time and in full, as agreed.

8. Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

Use it for any unlawful or harmful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Copy, modify, or distribute content from our site without our permission

We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is owned by Field & Timber Co. or used with permission.

You may view and print content for your personal, non‑commercial use.
You may not use our name, logo, or content for commercial purposes without our written consent.

10. Privacy

Our use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. By using our website or services, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

11. Termination

We may refuse service, cancel bookings, or end our working relationship if:

You fail to pay as agreed
You violate these Terms
Conditions at the property are unsafe or unsuitable for work

If we terminate services, you remain responsible for paying for work already completed and materials purchased for your project.

12. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of law rules (update this if your business is based elsewhere).

We encourage you to contact us first to try to resolve any concerns.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in the courts located in our primary business area, unless otherwise required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top.

Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
